Pool Party at the Farmhouse

The 3 acres surrounding the very beautiful Grade II farmhouse used to be fields with a small orchard and a woodland area on the Eastern Northern boundary, and two existing wildlife ponds. Our clients were very keen to improve the site biodiversity and asked us to produce a masterplan for the whole site. We included wildflower meadows, another, larger orchard, dead hedges and native mixed hedging, working with the existing contours. We also developed a windbreak and deer preventing strategy around the natural pool and main entertaining area.

Indeed the main feature in this garden is the 12 x 4 meters natural pool which looks stunning all year long, changes colour throughout the day and seasons, reflecting the sky and inviting you for a swim, even in Winter. It looks utterly enchanting and irresistible in the Spring Summer when the filtration planting is all out.
