Aperols and a view

With sweeping views of the Barbican and the City of London, this roof terrace was all about framing the spectacle—enhancing the contrast between the urban skyline and soft, textural planting to create a sense of intrigue and wonder.

Once a stark, exposed space, the terrace is now inviting, comfortable, and seamlessly connected to the beautifully designed interiors by Frank Interiors. Given the constraints—we had to retain the existing flooring and work within the weight-bearing limits—every design decision was carefully considered to maximize impact.

The planting is predominantly Mediterranean, chosen for its ability to thrive in full sun, withstand winter winds, and evoke a sense of escape. The result is a London rooftop with the soul of a summer retreat—a perfect spot for an Aperol with a view.
