‘The children run out every morning, even on rainy days’

We created a contemporary family garden to compliment the stunning house taking some clues from the elegant interiors. The owners didn’t like the blank vast lawn with planting around its perimeter situation. It was our pleasure to create zones, and as always add layers and layers of planting to create the magic! 

We incorporated the existing Wendy house, designed a double swing, a boardwalk through a magical mini woodland in the shady corner of the garden which is now well used, an evening drinks lounge deck and a generous and smart entertaining area. While still retaining a large lawn. It was important that the garden wasn’t designed to cater young children only but future proof allowing to retain its appeal as the family grows. 

The children run out “every day, even when it rains”. And the adults love it too! Job done.
