This garden was designed to seamlessly connect the house to the garden studio, embracing the changes in level while complementing the striking zinc extension by Proctor & Shaw.

Creating a strong indoor-outdoor connection was key. We achieved this through carefully selected materials and by bringing lush, layered planting right up to the house, blurring the boundaries between architecture and landscape.

With a north-east-facing aspect, we leaned into the beauty of dappled shade, enhancing its softness while introducing built-in seating in sunlit pockets, allowing our client to follow the sun throughout the day. And, as always, a rich, textural planting scheme ensures the garden feels vibrant, inviting, and ever-changing—whatever the season.
